I have keratosis pilaris and i tried any lotion you could find to smooth my rough arms and thighs with little results. A dermatologist recommended dry brushing to me so i bought this brush. It works really well! I use avons scrub and lotion suitable for keratosis pilaris but alone it still didn't really do the job. Now i use this brush before my shower and my arms and legs are so much smoother! Im not embarrassed when my boyfriend touches me now! I highly recommend!

I got more than I expected from this brush! Iu2019m using it primarily for dry brushing. I wanted to use it to help detox during a juice fast. Being a newbie I didnu2019t know what to expect. I had a bad fall last week so I've been out of commission & in severe pain in my back. I used it the first time for just a quick session & mobility returned, pain immediately dissipated, & I could feel blood flow all around! Iu2019m sold. Iu2019m sure itu2019s great for other uses, but itu2019s excellent as a dry brush for the lymph system. I like the length of the handle & the angle is very ergonomic. The bristles are just right. Not too stiff or too soft. It seems like itu2019s going to hold up for years. Bristles are firmly secured. Sure canu2019t beat the price especially for a high quality natural bristle brush. I donu2019t usually do reviews, but I had to on this product. Iu2019m sharing on Facebook & raving to all my friends & family. This brush was a godsend to heal my body & relieve my pain. I should be running around again in no time!

For dry skin-brushing, this is my favorite. The curved, short handle makes it easier to wield than the long, straight handles of brushes sold locally. The bristles are the perfect median between overly soft and over-rigid. They are perfect for gentle, adequate skin brushing. It has a solid construction. The wood feels good quality: really smooth and plenty hefty.
To clean it, I always run a wide-toothed comb through it after use. Sometimes I spray it with Thieves Oil and leave it in the open air. It can be washed with soap and water, then left to dry in the sun. Someone else wrote that she discards hers every 3 months. They last so well, it seems like a shame but I can see her point.
This is my second one. I have had my first one several years. It's in very good shape.
P.S. I wonder if left-handed people would dislike the curved handle.

This brush is so cheap! I used this brush under 10 times in the 2 months I've had it and it's completely falling apart! One whole chunk came off and you can tell the rest would have too if I didn't throw it away! Complete junk!

I purchased this for dry brushing before showers and it seems to be doing a great job. The brush construction is simple, the natural bristles are anchored into a plastic bed which is attached to the wooden body with nails. If you're hypersensitive to aesthetics, I suppose the visible nails could bother you, but they don't affect the use of the brush at all and you certainly can't feel them. The curve of the sturdy handle is nice and it's just long enough for me to reach everywhere I need without having to bend in crazy positions.
The bristles (what I think is the most important part) are a little firmer than I expected, but I had never dry brushed before. I'm used to the super soft facial brushes that are made for delicate skin. This brush is definitely not that, but it's not supposed to be. These bristles are firm and do a great job of loosening dry skin and getting circulation started. My legs are painfully white and typically very dry, moisturized or not, but since I've been dry brushing for the last few weeks they've smoothed out quite a bit.
I keep it in a visible place (because I have a terrible memory) and dry brush pretty much everything, sans face and neck of course, in long strokes towards my heart/stomach before every shower with deliberate, but not crazy harsh, strokes. After the shower, I make sure to moisturize my legs and arms.
Is it a miracle cure for bumps, cellulite, and unevenness? Not for me, but it has been an excellent tool to make my moisturizer far more effective and that has been well worth. My skin is smoother and my moisturizer actually does it's job now that it's not competing with a (excuse the grossness) layer of dead skin.

Just got this today. I'm SO glad, too. I've had many brushes over the years and this is my favorite. Here's why:
The handle is long enough for me to get to all my back with being TOO long and getting in the way. I like not having to fumble with a two part brush (having to put the handle on to brush my back then take it off to easily brush the rest of me). My last brush actually had a buckle on the handle strap which was annoying to have anywhere near my skin. This is a happy brush for me...well made, easy to handle and good quality. Used it right away and yes, no bristles came off. (They will in time..which is fine). Oh, they feel so good!

I like this brush but, the bottom case off after a few uses. It has 4 small nails that don't do much. Yesterday the entire thing came apart. I used some nails I have to see how those will hold up. About to order again but this time, I will add extra nails before I use it. I would give it 5 stars if not for my troubles.
So, after receiving my second and third brush, the bristle is very soft and you can see how spacey the brush is. I am NOT happy with this purchase at all.
